WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Wooden craft spoons (the spoons that come with ice cream cups)
Acrylic paint
Fabric paint tubes (puff Paint)
Paintbrushes
Yellow felt
Craft glue
Scissors
Pin backs
Newspaper
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Now, the first step is to cover your work surface with some newspaper. This can be a messy project with the paint. The newspaper will make clean up a lot easier.

Now, have the kids Paint five wooden spoons with green acrylic paint. They can make their Christmas tree in any color they choose, but green is traditional.

If the kids want to add glitter to the Christmas tree pin then they can do this while the paint is wet. If they want to add it later they can simply paint on some watered down white glue and sprinkle the glitter on then.

The kids can also make lines of glue, to mimic garland, and then sprinkle the glitter on.

While the paint and glitter is drying have the kids start cutting out their embellishments of the Christmas tree pin. They can cut the star from the fun foam or felt. Construction paper is also ok, but may not be a permanent.

Now, once the paint and glitter is dry have the kids Glue the craft sticks in a fan shape to make the tree. Face the painted wooden spoons down. Add glue to the back of the spoon and then add a spoon on either side. Repeat one more time on the trees you just glued down.
Tip: If you are in hurry you can also use hot glue. There is no drying time. The kids can also color their wooden spoons with markers or paint pins to cut out the drying time there as well.

Now, once the tree glue has dried, flip the Christmas pin over and start adding the little ornaments. The kids can make dots with the paint tubes, for the decorations.
