WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Plastic candy machine ball
White paint pen
Plastic toy or ornament
Cotton fluff
Ribbon
Glue
HOW TO MAKE IT:
To make this snow globe ornament Christmas craft you will need one of those little plastic balls you get out of the gumball machine. The kind that usually has a small toy in it.
If you can, clear will be best for the plastic. Look for a clear plastic ball that has a colored lid or s spray paint to paint the lid a color. This will hide your glue on the inside of the lid.
Now, the first thing you need to do is take off the lid. Paint small white dots of snow inside the domed side. This is usually the larger side and will be the top of the Christmas ornament.
A paint pen or a small tipped paint brush will work best.
Now, while the paint is drying take and plug in your hot glue gun. Choose a small ornament, plastic toy, mini Christmas tree or any small object you want to be in the center of the snow globe.
Glue third to the middle of the inside of the lid. Now, use some white fluffy pillow filling or left over cotton spider webbing from Halloween to make some snow on the inside of the lid.
Use glue here as well.
Hot glue will work fine, but if you can sue super glue to attach the pieces of this snow globe ornament, then it will last longer. Of course repairs will be easy to make if you use a hot glue gun.
Now, on top of the dome side you want to glue a ribbon. Tie a red ribbon into a small bow and trim the ends. Glue this to the top of the dome.
Now, go ahead and put the lid back on the dome. Use a small ornament hook to hang your faux mini snow globe Christmas ornament!
If you want you can also cut a slip of ribbon about 8 inches and glue this in a loop on the top of the dome. Once that dries glue on the bow to cover the two cut ends of the dome.
Now, you can use your looped ribbon to hang your Christmas snow globe ornament.
