WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
glue gun
pliers
wire cutters
5 varying widths small logs
large with six small branches artificial evergreen branch
3 pine cones
3 medium artificial red poinsettias
1 roll 14 gauge wire
1 piece 3" long
florist's wire
newspapers
HOW TO MAKE IT:

1. Cover your work surface with newspaper. Unroll some of the wire and lay it out on your work surface.
2. Pile the logs on top of the wire on your work surface with three logs in the bottom layer and two on top of the bottom three.
3. Wrap the wire tightly around the logs and using pliers, twist the free end around the wire wrapped around the other side. Using wire cutters cut the piece of wire from the roll leaving a quarter inch extending up from where you twisted the ends together. The wire will be hidden by the evergreen.
4. Arrange the large evergreen branch on top of the pile of logs you just wired together. Take the piece of florist's wire and wrap it around the center of the branch and around the wire holding the logs together. Twist up the ends tightly to secure the branch to the wire and push the ends down so they don't show.
5. Spread the smaller evergreen branches over the logs.
6. Arrange the 3 poinsettia blossoms in the middle of the centerpiece on top of the evergreen branches. When you are satisfied with the look, lift the poinsettias one at a time, squeeze a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom and press it back into place. Hold it down briefly until secure.
7. Hot glue three pinecones together and then hot glue them to the evergreen branches and the wood below the poinsettias. You will need to use a lot of hot glue to keep the pinecones in place because they are quite heavy.
